We started making soaps to be sure that everything going into them was good. The Chef frequently tries different flavours and we often have new varieties of soaps available for those wanting to try something different.
Our Natural artisan soaps are made using only the finest ingredients available, organic where possible and always responsibly sourced from Australian suppliers to support business growth within Australia.
Essence & Fragrance
We only use premium skincare grade essential and fragrant oils in our aromatic blends. While we take great care to test our soaps on all skin types, we must advise that essential oils can be quite a powerful addition to soap. Essential oils are very concentrated distillates from the natural source so if you have known allergies, always check the ingredients for your own compatibility. For example, if you are allergic to citrus (rare), the citrus essential oils are not suitable for you since they are a highly concentrated source of many of the naturally occurring compounds within the peel.
Allergy
Our premium soaps often contain ‘Tree nut oils’, such as Sweet Almond oil and Shea butter. These ingredients make for a great bar of soap but can sometimes be problematic for users that have strong tree nut allergies. Caution is advised if you have known allergies and please check the ingredients list of all our soaps before you use them.
We are experimenting with new recipes all the time and are developing a soap suitable for people with nut allergies.

Soap Storage & Use
Before use, store your SoapChef soaps in a cool, dry place. All Cold processed soaps are susceptible to moisture. Quality Handmade soaps are always softer than commercially produced (mostly palm oil) soap bars. As such, please use an effective soap drainer with good drainage to ensure that the bar stays as dry as possible in-between uses.
